BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS

Last updated: August 4, 2026

1. Purpose and acceptance

These Booking Terms & Conditions govern the tourist services contract entered into between Ignacio Andrés Herrero Ortiz, trading as Ebike Experiences Lanzarote (hereinafter, "Ebike Experiences Lanzarote" or "the Organiser"), and the person who completes a booking through the Website ebiketourlanzarote.com or through any of the booking channels integrated into it (hereinafter, "the Client"), for participation in a guided electric bicycle route organised by Ebike Experiences Lanzarote on the island of Lanzarote.

By completing and submitting the booking form, and in any event by proceeding with the corresponding payment, the Client declares that they have read, understood and fully accepted these Booking Terms & Conditions, which constitute the binding agreement between the parties. These terms are equally binding on the other participants included in the booking; by booking, the Client declares that they have informed all such participants of their content and have obtained their agreement, acting on their behalf for this purpose.

Unless expressly agreed in writing between the parties, these Booking Terms & Conditions prevail over any other prior agreement, communication or practice between the Client and the Organiser. No amendment to these terms shall be valid unless made in writing and signed by a person authorised by Ebike Experiences Lanzarote.

2. Identification of the service provider

Owner: Ignacio Andrés Herrero Ortiz (Ebike Experiences Lanzarote)
NIF: 16.051.552-J
Address: C/ Quiroga, núm. 1, Piso 4º Puerta D, 35500 Arrecife de Lanzarote (Las Palmas), España
Registration: Active Tourism Register of the Government of the Canary Islands, no. GC001932, in accordance with Decree 226/2017 of 13 November approving the Regulation establishing the legal regime for the development of active tourism activities in the Canary Islands

Phone: +34 686 700 302

The activity is provided entirely within Spanish territory and is governed, for all purposes, by Spanish law, irrespective of the Client's country of residence.

3. Price, taxes and method of payment

The price of each route is that published on the Website at the time the booking is made, and includes applicable IGIC (Canary Islands General Indirect Tax). The published price includes use of the electric bicycle, helmet and other safety equipment specified in the description of each route, as well as the accompaniment of a guide throughout the activity; any additional service not included in that description will be expressly indicated before the booking is confirmed.

Payment is made in euros, through the FareHarbor booking platform or through the integrated direct Stripe payment system, depending on the option chosen by the Client. The booking is not considered confirmed and the place is not guaranteed until the corresponding payment has been completed and Ebike Experiences Lanzarote has sent the booking confirmation. Availability shown on the Website prior to completion of payment is purely indicative and may vary.

4. Booking and confirmation process

The booking is finalised by completing the corresponding form with the details of all participants and completing payment of the total price of the activity. Once payment has been confirmed, the Client will receive a booking confirmation by email detailing the route, date, time and meeting point. It is the Client's responsibility to check that the booking details are correct and to notify Ebike Experiences Lanzarote of any error as soon as possible.

5. Participants, minimum age and minors

The person who makes and pays for the booking must be over 18 years of age. Minors between 12 and 17 years of age may participate in the activity provided they are accompanied, throughout its duration, by a responsible adult included in the same booking, and provided their age has been expressly indicated on the booking form. Ebike Experiences Lanzarote reserves the right to request, before the activity begins, express authorisation from the minor's parent or legal guardian where the minor is not accompanied by them, and to refuse a minor's participation where, in the guide's reasoned judgement, the activity may pose a risk to their safety or that of the rest of the group. Participation by children under 12 is not permitted, except with the express written authorisation of Ebike Experiences Lanzarote following an assessment of the circumstances of the case.

6. Health, fitness requirements and assumption of risk

The routes organised by Ebike Experiences Lanzarote are physically active outdoor activities carried out on volcanic terrain with variable gradients depending on the chosen itinerary; their physical demands depend on the specific route, the difficulty of which is described on the Website. By its very nature, the activity involves risks inherent to cycling in a natural environment (falls, changing weather conditions, uneven terrain, among others) which cannot be entirely eliminated despite the safety measures adopted by the Organiser.

By completing the booking, the Client declares and warrants, on their own behalf and on behalf of all participants included in the booking, that they:

  • Are in a state of health and physical fitness suitable for participating in the contracted route.
  • Do not suffer from any medical, physical or other condition that could pose a significant risk to their own safety, that of other participants, or that of third parties during the activity.
  • Have informed Ebike Experiences Lanzarote, prior to the activity, of any relevant medical circumstance (for example, allergies, cardiovascular or mobility problems) that the guide needs to be aware of to ensure their safety.
  • Will follow at all times the safety instructions given by the guide, including the mandatory use of the helmet provided.

Ebike Experiences Lanzarote reserves the right to exclude from the activity, without entitlement to a refund, any participant who, in the guide's reasoned judgement, does not meet the necessary physical requirements or whose participation may pose a risk to the safety of the group, provided that such circumstance had not been previously disclosed by the Client.

7. Insurance and civil liability

In accordance with the requirements of Decree 226/2017, Ebike Experiences Lanzarote holds a civil liability insurance policy and an accident and assistance insurance policy covering the organised activity, on the terms and subject to the limits established in those policies. The Client may request information about the coverage of such policies through the contact details indicated in section 2. The existence of these policies does not exempt the Client from complying with the obligations described in section 6, nor does it cover damage arising from a failure to follow the guide's safety instructions or from negligent or wilful conduct on the part of the Client.

8. Equipment and materials

The price of the route includes the electric bicycle, helmet and other safety equipment specified in the description of the activity, approved in accordance with applicable regulations. The Client is responsible for making appropriate and diligent use of the equipment provided, and will be liable for the cost of repairing or replacing any damage or loss caused by the Client, by another member of their group, or by a third party under their control, during the period the equipment is used, unless such damage results from normal wear and tear of the equipment or from a defect in it not attributable to the Client.

9. Right of withdrawal

In accordance with Article 103(l) of the Consolidated Text of the General Law for the Protection of Consumers and Users and other supplementary laws (Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007 of 16 November), the right of withdrawal does not apply to contracts for the provision of services related to leisure activities where the contract provides for a specific date or period of performance, as is the case with the guided routes covered by these Booking Terms & Conditions. This is without prejudice to the Client's right to cancel their booking in accordance with the cancellation policy described in section 11 of these Terms.

10. Changes to the booking requested by the Client

If the Client wishes to change the date, time or number of participants of a confirmed booking, they must notify Ebike Experiences Lanzarote by email at info@ebiketourlanzarote.com as far in advance as possible. Ebike Experiences Lanzarote will make reasonable efforts to accommodate the request, although the availability of alternative dates and places is not guaranteed. A date change accepted by Ebike Experiences Lanzarote is not considered a cancellation and does not give rise to the charges described in section 11, without prejudice to the payment of any price difference where the new date corresponds to a higher-cost route.

11. Cancellation policy by the Client

Cancellations must be notified by email to info@ebiketourlanzarote.com, and take effect from the moment Ebike Experiences Lanzarote receives such notification. Depending on how far in advance of the scheduled start time of the route the cancellation is notified, the following scale will apply:

  • Cancellation 7 or more days in advance: refund of 100% of the amount paid, less any banking or payment gateway management fees borne by Ebike Experiences Lanzarote, where applicable.
  • Cancellation between 7 days and 48 hours in advance: refund of 50% of the amount paid.
  • Cancellation with less than 48 hours' notice, or failure to show up on the day of the activity ("no-show"): no refund will be given.

Where the booking includes several participants and only some of them cancel their participation, the above scale will be applied proportionally to the amount corresponding to that participant.

12. Changes to or cancellation of the route by the Organiser

Ebike Experiences Lanzarote plans its routes in advance, but may be required to modify or cancel an already confirmed activity for reasons beyond its control, such as adverse weather conditions that compromise the safety of participants, or failure to reach a minimum number of participants where this was indicated in the route description. In such cases, Ebike Experiences Lanzarote will notify the Client as far in advance as possible, offering the Client, at their choice:

  • To accept the proposed change to the date, time or itinerary of the activity; or
  • To switch to an available alternative route, paying the price difference if the new route costs more, or receiving a refund of the difference if it costs less; or
  • To cancel the booking, with a full refund of the amount actually paid, without application of the scale set out in section 11.

13. Force majeure

Ebike Experiences Lanzarote assumes no liability or obligation to pay financial compensation, beyond the refund provided for in section 12, where the performance of its obligations is prevented, hindered or delayed by causes of force majeure beyond its reasonable control, understood as including, among others, extreme weather events, natural disasters, fires, civil conflicts, acts of terrorism, strikes, pandemics or health-related restrictions, or any other unforeseeable or unavoidable circumstance preventing the normal conduct of the activity.

14. Conduct of the activity and safety rules

During the route, the Client undertakes to follow the guide's instructions at all times, to use the safety equipment provided, to respect the itinerary and the pace set by the group, and not to carry out reckless manoeuvres or actions contrary to the instructions received. The guide may, for safety reasons, modify the planned itinerary, shorten the route or suspend the activity in progress, without this giving rise to any additional compensation where such decision is motivated by the safety of participants.

15. Images and promotional use

The Client authorises Ebike Experiences Lanzarote to use and reproduce, free of charge and for promotional purposes, photographs or videos taken by the guide team during the route in which the Client appears, individually or as part of a group, in any medium (Website, social media, printed advertising material), without time or geographical limit. If the Client prefers not to be included in such material, they may inform their guide on the day of the activity or, beforehand, by email at info@ebiketourlanzarote.com or by WhatsApp to +34 686 700 302.

Where the booking includes participants who are minors, the promotional use of their image requires the express, prior consent of the accompanying parent or legal guardian, given before the activity begins by WhatsApp message to +34 686 700 302 or by email to info@ebiketourlanzarote.com, in which the responsible adult unambiguously confirms their authorisation, stating the minor's name. Ebike Experiences Lanzarote will retain such communication as evidence of the consent given. If this express confirmation is not received before the activity, the guide will endeavour to ensure that the minor does not appear in an identifiable manner in material intended for promotional purposes. This consent may be revoked at any time through the same channels, with effect on future uses of the material.

16. Protection of personal data

Personal data provided by the Client during the booking process is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, prepared under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPD-GDD), which the Client can access from any page of the Website.

17. Complaints, claims and official complaint forms

If the Client experiences any problem relating to the contracted route, they must notify Ebike Experiences Lanzarote in writing, via info@ebiketourlanzarote.com, within a maximum of 48 hours from the end of the activity, describing what happened in as much detail as possible, so that Ebike Experiences Lanzarote can assess and, where applicable, resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

In compliance with Law 7/1995 of 6 April on the Regulation of Tourism in the Canary Islands, and Decree 77/2022 of 7 April regulating the characteristics and procedure for obtaining official complaint forms in the tourism sector of the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands, Ebike Experiences Lanzarote has official complaint forms available to Clients who request them, through which Clients may lodge any complaint or claim relating to the service provided.

18. Online dispute resolution

In accordance with Regulation (EU) No 524/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council, Clients who are consumers may, in the event of a dispute relating to a purchase made through the Website, use the European online dispute resolution (ODR) platform, available at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr, as well as, where applicable, the relevant Consumer Arbitration Board, without prejudice to their right to bring proceedings before the ordinary courts.

19. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Booking Terms & Conditions are governed by Spanish law. For the resolution of any dispute arising from their interpretation or performance, both parties submit to the courts and tribunals of Arrecife de Lanzarote, expressly waiving any other jurisdiction to which they might be entitled, unless consumer protection legislation mandatorily provides otherwise, in which case the jurisdiction determined by such legislation shall apply.

20. Partial invalidity

Should any of the clauses contained in these Booking Terms & Conditions be declared null or unenforceable, in whole or in part, by a final decision issued by a competent authority, such nullity shall affect only the relevant provision, and the remainder of the Booking Terms & Conditions shall remain in force in all other respects.

21. Amendment of these Terms

Ebike Experiences Lanzarote reserves the right to amend these Booking Terms & Conditions in the future. The terms applicable to each booking will be those in force and published on the Website at the time the booking is finalised.
